Springtime at GiGi New York Exciting New Leather
Our first GiGi New York trunk show at a Long Island country club was met with enthusiasm and delight (what better place to shop our spring colors and new handbags?) The top winning bags were the same ones that have been selling for us for months: small and medium-sized, hands-free, crossbody bags. This is a trend we have been following for a year and the customer had more than they needed to pick from. Beginning with the Sydney Shopper, designed as a petite shopping bag for Barneys New York, this popular bag holds your essentials in a stylish, unencumbered manner. Its popularity has encouraged us to add leathers and colors in both fashion finishes and clean neutrals, including our popular natural python Italian leather. The shopping bag effect takes on a sleek new look when the magnetic gusset is used. The clipped-on crossbody strap can be removed if over-the-arm wear is desired.
Also, enjoying the crossbody popularity is the new Emmie crossbody, a hands-free bag to carry your phone, plus cash, credit cards, and more. A secure back zipper pocket supplements a roomy top pocket for your phone. Spring colors have made this bag an instant success to become the top seller of the collection. Equally popular are two spring python leather grains and our military camo leather, a third new popular color for this high-demand fashion print.
Another new bag embraced by our customers is the popular Kit, produced with new webbing straps providing a sporty casual look for going places. This classic, forever popular shape never gets old, thanks to its roomy interior and functional appeal in a size and shape that molds to your side, at times becoming almost unnoticeable to the wearer. The Kit is offered in black, white, and yellow leathers in our wide-grained pebble leather, lux in appearance and durable in any color. Kit’s success has been partially propelled by its availability in our classic primrose yellow leather, the ultimate springtime tone for this color of the season (and maybe the whole year!) Also offered in yellow leather is our Hunter tote, an unlined bag with unique stitch details. The unlined bag reduces its weight and is complemented by a removable interior bag, in matching leather.
Hayden Desk Collection
On a visit to the GiGi website, one will see a host of new products, catering to #WFH (work from home) by offering our fashion leathers on products used on your desk top. As the home office takes on an important new place in our day-to-day lives, we have created new desk accessories for women we are calling “Hayden” to complement those we already have for men. These accessories will be produced in some of the same new leathers talked about above for our new handbags, including the Italian natural python, the yellow pebble grain, fashion rose gold metallic leathers and neutral shades of our popular classic embossed python grain. The products include leather wrapped boxes for organization, pen cups, notepads and memo trays. Our new two-sided leather mats in multiple sizes let you set up shop anywhere in your home. These mats provide the perfect setting for Hayden Accessories and create for you the mindset needed to focus. To add to a popular saying, “if home is where you hang your hat, work is where you lay your mat.” Whether making your workspace part of your home or sprucing up your on-line streaming appearance, Hayden will allow you to enjoy your workspace and feel comfortable creating within it anywhere in the home.
